We aim to make a significant contribution to the education of professional accountants and business leaders to become value creators in both public and private sectors at various levels. Our B Com Chartered Accountant graduates consistently achieve above the national average pass rates in the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) examination. The programmes on offer in the School have been accredited by various international and national organisations, including the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This opens doors for our graduates on an international platform. The Nelson Mandela University is only the fourth university in South Africa to have received the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) endorsement for the processing of internal audit qualifications which are aligned to international best practice requirements.

We are rated among the top business schools globally and on the African continent. The School is one of the few in Southern Africa to have obtained international accreditation from AMBA (MBA programme) and EDAMBA (DBA programme). The Top 2019 Eduniversal Best Master’s rankings saw the Business School ranked no.4 in Africa for its Executive MBA programme. Overall, the Nelson Mandela University Business School is ranked no.5 in South Africa. According to the Financial Mail Survey published in July 2019, the Nelson Mandela University Business School Executive Education had the third largest number of students attending customised programmes in South Africa during 2018. We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality of our academic faculty, the facilitators, the programmes and programmes materials. The Business School also maintains a firm focus on the accreditation and affordability of its programmes.
